Movies
Hey, Well I think that we really need to think about going to the drive-in tonight. We were talking about how we should cut back on watching movies. Well I don't think that going to the drive-in is such a good idea. We should make a movie or something instead. We could go to the park or my house and make a movie. I just think that it's important that we stand to our word and what we said instead of just following the crowd. Well if you are all going to the drive-in anyway I don't think that I'll come. It's not worth it!!!! Well, what do you think???? Think about what we all said regarding David's blog about "holiness" Guys, I think we can do without movies!!!!!!

amiee, i think you have a good point. but i think that some movies, sometimes is ok...as long as they're good and clean. i dont know what everyone else is doing, but jon and i are only going to the first two movies, cuz we've looked them up on Christian sites, and they've gotten good ratings. but we're not going to the third one becouse we just dont want to comprimize our belifes for what the world has to offer. (teehee, the sermon today!) ya.
I also think you have a good point too, Aimee! And even though I sometimes wish we could do something a little more "active" (by which, I mean that we can really socialize and get to know each other better), I sometimes enjoy just watching a movie, once in a while! Of course, I think it all also depends on which type of movie it is ... because there are some pretty good movies, out there! (Example: Passion of the Christ)
But I definitely agree with you, as well ... we can for surely do without the sketchier movies and ones that make us think in a less holy way! I think we should always be careful of that!
Sorry to everybody who wanted to go to the drive-in, I guess my sister and I will not be going. Kara did check the movie on some Christian sites, but unfortunatly they did not go very in depth. I went to screenit.com (probably the most reliable site for "sceening" and it rated sex/nudity at "heavy" for a scene in a strip club.
Well, the drive-in was a nice thought - maybe sometime they'll have some clean movies we all can go see.
Anyway, it really is a shame we didn't do anything outside this afternoon... it's such a nice day! I don't know what the rest of you will decide on doing tonight, but I'm going to be playing street hockey with a bunch of guys from living hope. (any guys that want to come are probably welcome)
