The Center of the Bible

This is pretty amazing and strange.

What is the shortest chapter in the Bible?
..........Psalms 117
What is the longest chapter in the Bible?
..........Psalms 119
What chapter is the center of the bible?
..........Psalms 118

FACT: There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118.
FACT: There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118.

Add these numbers (594+594) and you get 1188.

What is the center verse of the Bible?
..........Psalms 118:8

Does this verse say anything significant about God's perfect will for our lives? The next time someone says they would like to find God's perfect plan for their lives and be in the center of His will; just send them to the center of His Word.

Psalms 118:8 "It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man."

Now isn't that odd how it worked out (or was God just in the center of it?)?

weren't the chapters in the bible divided up later, after the bible was written? and would it the amount of chapters and the size of chapters be different in other languages? that's pretty cool how that works out tho!

yeah, I think it's really cool too. My friend Erin makes magazines for me and the other day I read the very first one and that "Center of the Bible" page was in there so I thought I'd share it with you guys.

Do you know what version this is for; because I know that NIV skips a couple verses that other versions have because they are saying almost the same thing the next verse says when translated or something.

I THINK it's New American Standard (NASB) but don't quote me on it.
