so long, farewell, (however you say it in german), goodbye!

hey peeps, so just to let you know, my dad is having a farewell barbeque at his house on friday at 7 for me, and you are all welcome to come. i know that there's a worship team practice that night though, so no worries if you have to go to that instead, because i'll be at church on sunday anyways, so you can still see me there, and then if you want to come to the airport, that's another chance...just minus the hot dogs...if you want to know my new address in bc, holla, and i'll put you on the mass email that will contain said address once i get there. for those of you who may not have my email, it's the_awkward@msn.com.
i'm also going to take this chance to say that it's been a blast. i'm really glad that i've gotten the chance to hang out with you guys pretty much every week for the past few years. you are all amazing people, and i'm definately going to miss you. i wish i had a nice inspiring speech to go out on, but i just don't think that's going to happen. i guess i can give some advice though, seeing as i'm practically a senior citizen.
to the older kids: ok, not going to lie, being the oldest rocks. to quote spiderman's uncle: "with great power comes great responsibility". you all have the chance to be good examples of leaders to the rest of the group, which i know you'll do fantastically. it might be stressful at times, but jsut remember that god's got your back. oh, and don't forget to have fun...i sometimes forget to, but post-it's work wonders...trust me.
and to the younger ones: don't be intimidated at all by the older peeps. they're all awesome people, and are some of the greatest friends i'll ever have. get to know them and try to squeeze advice out of them like a financially despirate kid squeezing juice out of a lemon to make lemonade to sell because he wants that new bicycle...yes, it's a horribly bad analogy, but work with me here. you might be at the bottom rung of sr. high, but you're still leaders to the kids in jr. high, so remember that to them, you're leaders too.
i'll just sign off with an encouragement to you all to keep living the good life. it can definately be hard at times, as i definitely know, but in the end, it's all worth it.
love and peas
alayna

There's good news and bad news. The good news is that there's actually no youth on Friday.
The bad news is that there's a worship practice on Friday instead that will prevent some people from coming - like myself - . But all in all I wish you the best!
