Divide and Conquer! _Can you feel the love?

Hey guys and girls.

This is a superfast encouragment cuz I have a meeting I am suppost to be at right now at the table behind me but the other guy in it isn't here yet.

Anyway - I have to apologise because latly I have not been praying for you guys like I should have been. Is that encouragment? I don't know. Anyway I have had sosooooooosooooo much homework latly that when I got up in the morning I usaully ended up skipping/or sleeping through my "pray time" because I didn't have "enough time".
Then I remembered taht is exactly what Satan would want me to do. This has been rough last couple days for me. BUt I really want to keep praying for you guys so I am.

For you guys -keep [praying for each other - sometimes we get caught up in how bad things are going that we forget to pray.

GOt to go

Jon

Yeah, I know I also need to stay in prayer more constantly. I find it is really cool that we can talk to God during any time of the day, but that also makes it kind of difficult not to say I can just do it later. Thanks for the encouragement to stay in prayer, Jon! I know it is really important to do. I hope to continue praying to God during my entire life . . . in good times . . . in bad times . . . when I'm a bit lacking of time . . . all the time! Well, I guess I should go now too! Adios!

It's kinda horrible the way us Christians do it. We call ourselves Christians and claim that we are deeply in love with God, the one true God. But if we were really as deeply in love with God as we claim, don't you think that we would want to spend our every waking moment WITH him?! ...in prayer with him, doing exactlly what he has commanded? I, as a Christian, am doing a lousy job. Can't you imagine being in heaven and seeing God in his FULL glory (ok, so we cannot even begin to imagine what that's like!), wondering why in the world we had the nerve to spend time away from his majesty! and not to be overjoyed when we do get to spend time just meditating on him. God, make my soul long to be with you!!!

What a wonderful comment Kara. I agree! Too oft, we claim to follow Christ's teaching yet we don't. Why do we disobey? His word clearly says that those who love Him keep His commands! His word clearly says that we are to do what it says! (James 1:22) Matt 22:37 says "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." Are we doing this?! If we are then why does devotion to Him sometimes feel like a chore or a duty? Far too many people call themselves Christians yet don't even have the desire to spend time with Him everyday! Why on earth do we sing "better is one day in your courts than thousands elsewhere" yet don't even want to spend time in prayer and meditation with Him for an hour?!?!?! It is time for the church to wake up!!! A sleeping Christian is a like a soldier that went to war in his pajamas! He gets shot and doesn't gain any ground because he's dead on the ground!!! God can't use a dead Christian! Romans 8:6 says "the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace." Do you want to live for Christ or do you want to sleep for Christ? Then let the Spirit of the living God have control of your mind every minute of everyday. Do you truly long to be in His presence? Then come into His presence!
If you don't have the desire to want to spend time with God, then you need to get to your knees and pray earnestly: God, make my soul long to be with you!!! If you are willing to let God change your heart to want to be with Him, then he will. Praise God, Kara, that you have the desire to want to be with God. Your willingness will allow God to make your heart into a heart that wants to spend every waking moment with him and into a heart that is overjoyed to meditate on Him. God Bless you Kara!!!

It may have been a long comment Josh, but it was definitely worth the read! I totally agree with you people about longing to be with God and being overjoyed with spending your every minute with Him! It definitely (I am sad to say) is something I have also been recently struggling with! It kinda seems like I enjoy spending time with my friends here on earth more than I enjoy getting to know the most faithful friend of all! He knows me even more than I know myself! He never changes! If He is perfect and holy and NOTHING compares to Him, then how can I NOT love every moment I have to spend with Him?

I think sometimes I am too hard-hearted to even realize that I need to change! It was mentioned to me before that clay usually needs to be soft before it gets molded into something! God wants to mold our hearts just as an artist molds their clay, but the clay needs to first be soft before it can be molded! Oh God, my prayer is that you may soften my heart so you may mold me to change my ways and love you even more!

Aha, Praise God! Yet another willing heart! You people might not realize it but knowing that you have a cold or hard heart and wanting it to soften is having a willing heart. You guys are already willing to some extent! Even if it's just willing to have a willingness to want to spend time with God, the Lord rejoices in your longings to be more devoted and faithful to Him! Change starts in the heart and proceeds to action. God is pleased with your desire to be faithful and devoted to Him!!! So now that you are willing to change, all that you need to do is do it. Act upon it! Yield to the Holy Spirit and just let Him drive. In a toss up between time with Him and any other fruitless activity, don't even think about, it just go spend time with Him. Too many people have their eyes glued to the tv and the computer when they need to have their eyes glued to God's Word. Let's just go for it! Let's change the world for Him! Forget about our other options, and lets just go all out for Him. We aren't alone if we do it together, which is why the church community is so important. I am going! Who's coming with me?

Wow. You guys are so awsome and encouraging! Sometimes just looking at the world and how messed up it is and we are (even other Christians), it just makes me really frustrighted. Thanx a ton.
