Where is that Fire?

Dear Youth Group,

We have such an amazing God who has been working in all of our lives. He has made a way for us to be with him and escape hell. He has loved us despite any sinful past. And he has blessed us with such a wonderful church and such wonderful people. God is beautiful in both his grace and his creation. He created all of us and he loves each and everyone of you, for you are his greatest masterpiece. Please don't take that type of stuff lightly just because you've heard it your whole life. Knowing that you are more than just a speck on this planet should light a fire in your hearts to live a life worthy of to what you've been called. Never be okay with mediocracy! Always strive to be more like Jesus.

But if anyone obeys his word, God's love is
truly made complete in him. This is how we
know we are in him: Whoever claims to live
in him must walk as Jesus did.

1 John 2: 5,6

We must strive to put to death the sin in our lives. Not because we want to be perfect but because we want to be in a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ! Sin seperates us from God. It seperates us from the most beautiful thing of this world. But there is even more: We are called to be ambassadors of God's truth. How can we do that if we do the same things that the world does. We got to be set apart for what we believe, We are God's light in this world. What kind of light are you shining?
I'm not typing this from a place of perfection, I have struggles too. But we should never be content with where we are at. Press on towards Godliness and strong character. And please hear this: You can do so much for this world when you are living in Christ. Have a good week guys and gals. Live this life with Love and with strength that only Jesus can provide.

Love, Ross
