Verses on Prayer
1 Chronicles 5:20
They were helped in fighting them, and God handed the Hagrites and all their allies over to them, because they cried out to him during the battle. He answered their prayers, because they trusted in him.
Wow, that's encouraging!!! All we need to do is trust in God and that he'll answer our prayers and he will, just like he answered the Isrialites prayers.

We need not to pray like the hypoctites or babble like the pagans but pray in our rooms not out in the middle of the hallway at school. for the Father will reward us for what we do in secret.

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."
We need to believe, not doubt then we will recieve whatever we prayed and asked for!!

We need to join together constantly in prayer just like Mary and Jesus's brothers and the women.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
We need to keep praying and be faithful in our prayers!!!!
Ephesians 6:18
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
We also need to pray in the Spirit with all kinds of prayer requests even if they sound silly, and keep on praying for all the saints as it says.

Pray that we all stay clear minded and self-controlled so that we can pray.

"I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ."
This verse is so true! There is nothing more worth while in our lives than sharing our faiths with our friends, neighbours, peers, teachers, family, fellow workers, boss's, complete strangers, and absolutely anyone!
In fact, I think there are three (or four) things in our lives that we can truly say are NOT a waste of time: Prayer, Reading the Bible, Witnessing, and Fellowship with other Christians. Anything else we should try to see as a waste of the time God has given us.
This is how I now see my time... and it changes everything! Witnessing comes naturally - instead of feeling out of place.
Yesterday I read my Bible and prayed - then I didn't know what to do, because everything is a waste of time - I felt like I needed, and actually wanted, to go witness to someone!(as I said, it seemed so natural - like 1-2-3!)
The other day at lunch, I went into this teachers room, where some of hang out at lunch. For much of the lunch hour I was the only one in the room. I spent at least half the lunch hour in prayer.
I was actually still praying, when my friend came in. I knew exactly what I should do. All I did was ask her "So do you believe in God?" The rest of the lunch hour we spent talking about God - now she's likely coming to church on Sunday!
As I said before there is nothing more worth while!
Today at lunch I had nothing to do, I went to the same room, and another friend was there. I asked her "So, if you died tonight, would you go to heaven?"
She didn't know. The rest of the lunch hour I spent talking to her about God, Heaven and Hell. I also told her exactly how to become a Christian. Pray for her - she has a big decision to make.
You Guys, I have a week left in high school. Don't wait till the last couple weeks of your high school life to talk to your friends. It isn't hard, and God will give you everything you need.

Thanks for the encouragement, Jonathan! It's so amazing to hear all the ways God has been working through you, this week! I'll be sure to pray for you and your friends, as well as myself, I suppose. . . just that our faith with become all the stronger, and we will see what is really worthwhile, in this life! I totally agree with what you're saying about everything else being a waste of time! I guess sometimes we try keeping something of our own, instead of clinging onto God . . . even the thought of a reputation! Thanks again for making me think about this issue, Jonathan! God bless you!
Well, you know what they say: "the great minded think alike" - so 9:44 was a great time to post!
Anyway Aimee, you don't need to download Hello in order to put a picture in your profile.
Just go to photobucket.com and make an account. Then upload whatever pictures you want. It will then tell you the Photo URL.
Cut and paste that into your picture spot in your profile. Then every time you post, a picture will show up by your name.
And about posting a picture on the actual blog ... well that I've never had success with other than using Hello, but I'm Pretty sure there's a way. Sarah explained it once already, but I was to lazy to learn a new way.
yeah to post a picture in a regular post just go
< a href="http://www.yourwebsite.com/" > click here! < /a >
Then put your website in that spot and take away all of the spaces and it should work.
This is an incredible thread
So I was bored, and decided to figure out this whole profile thing! Oh, fun times! Thanks for the info/explanation, Jonathan!
Aimee, all you have to do is click the button that says 25% of picture. The blog can only handle a certain size of picture.
Sharilyn - your picture is awesome!
Glad you could figure it out.
Thanks for praying for me... it's much appreciated.
Also, my friend is coming to church tomorrow! The problem is that I have Caraway St. - I'll
introduce her to you guys, and trust that you can make her feel welcome. I don't know if she'll want to go to the service, or watch me on Caraway Street. Well, I guess its up to God.
Thanks a lot guys!
No, my friend did not come. Unfortunately I had Caraway St., and she would have felt uncomfortable being in the service by herself. She will though, be coming this week - hopefully.
You guys should check out my other post on the red prayer post.
