Aroma

Do you smell like God? Not physically smell like God, but does your life smell with the aroma of Christ? Can others see a difference in our lives?

2 Corinthians 2:14-15

14But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. 15For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.

Let your life smell with the aroma of God!

Thanks for that, Aimee! I don't remember reading that passage before, but I really like it! I really want to live out my life in that way!

I also liked the way you explained about being salt and making others thirst for God (during our small group thing, one Wednesday)!(Funny how some of the most obvious things don't even occur to you until it's sometimes explained in black and white, and THEN it all seems to click!) Thanks for being such an encouraging, influential person in my life! Love ya!

Wow, that's a really cool challenge. We've all heard of shining God's light and letting our lives radiate his love but I've never thought of smelling like that. That's really cool. That's powerful, and just like the aroma of a homecooked meal makes you want it, so it would be if we smelled of the presence and knowledge of God. People would want that. If through us people can smell, taste, feel, see, and hear God, they will be influenced for His kingdom. Thanks Aimee!

wow. wow. wow. i was noticing/thinking about that at work tonight. I was wondering how non-christians view me. Do they just see a normal everyday person? Do they see when mabey I slack off a bit or am not quite as friendly as I should be? How would I act if Jesus was standing right next to me or perhaps WAS me (if that makes sense)? How would I act...

Awesome Possum Dude! Yeah Aimee, that was well said - That's some Awesome scipture.

To everyone out there, God taught me something this morning. I was thinking about all the weakness' that I have as a person, and I was struggling with the person that I wanted to be. I know that no one is perfect, but I want to be the best person I can be - my goal is to aim for perfection.

That proposes a problem, because know matter how "good" I am, I am plagued with that much more inperfectness. This is somthing we all have to deal with in life - we all have weakness' that we struggle to overcome. I am not really talking about sin here, I am talking about the way we are made.

But than I realized that I am perfect. Christ made me perfect before God - Whatever weakness' I have(and there are tons of them), Christ shines through all those holes - AND MAKES ME PERFECT!!!!

Duh!!!!! When it says in the Bible that God's strength is made perfect in weakness God means it. Of course I need to do the best I can in life. But as I was working in the kichten, or going about my day to day activities, when I feel down, or am struggling through ANYTHING - Christ makes me perfect! So I'll choose to let Christ shine.

Even when I am feeling great and life is swell - I will realize that if I don't let Christ shine - all my imperfections will show. And Christ is made perfect in weakness. Yes, that is what I am exited about! Because one of my huge weakness' is my confidence. When I am feeling confident - if I do not let Christ shine in my weakness - that is when God will humble me, and I'll fall flat on my face as a fool.

Thanks a lot Aimee.

HA! did I just post that twice? HOw did I do that?

Yeah! CHOOSE TO LET CHRIST SHINE RIGHT NOW! THROUGH ALL THE IMPERFECTIONS WE ALL HAVE! THE SPIRIT OF GOD THAT YOU HAVE INSIDE YOU IS INCONTAINABLE - DON"T QUENCH THE SPIRIT OF GOD>

GOD WANTS
THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT TO FLOW OUT OF YOUR LIFE
LOVE, and all the rest SHOULD COME NATURALLY! HALLILUJAH!(did I spell that right?)

IF YOU FEEL LIKE SOMETHING IS WEIGHING YOU DOWN? THAT IS A WEAKNESS! KNOW THAT YOU DON"T EVEN HAVE TO THINK ABOUT "TRYING" TO LOVE OTHERS! JESUS SAID

that if you can ask him for anything - how much more will God give you his Spirit if you ask for it? SO ASK GOD FOR IT!!!

ASK GOD TO SHINE THROUGH ALL YOUR WEAKNESS' and live your life knowing that the Spirit of God is if A FOUNTAIN OF LIVING WATER GUSHING WITH EVERYTHING THAT IS GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU HAVE THAT INSIDE OF YOU - I HAVE THAT INSIDE OF ME>>>>>

LET"S LET IT FLOW DUDES!!!!!!!!!!
DON"T QUENCH THE SPIRIT > HE WANTS TO WORK THROUGH YOU!!!!!

"The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing."(John 6:63)

This means that nothing we do on the outside with the flesh matters. It is the Spirit that counts.

Too close:

Let your life REAK with Christ!!!!

NUts... It is too bad that this fountain in me can't flow very effectivly electronicly through the internet too all you guys back home. I have so much too say. It is good that I won't write anymore. I hope all of this is encouraging to you. But remember - my words are futile - unless they are from the Spirit. Only the Spirit of God, and the Bible are what you should listen too.

Even these Satan will attack - he loves attacking the Words of God - "Did God really say that?" Be warned -

PRAY RIGHT NOW THAT GOD WILL PROTECT YOU FROM SATAN, SO THAT HE WILL NOT HAVE ANY POWER OVER YOU.

he prowls around like lion - waiting to devour YOU!

Sorry guys - one more thing:

I did not mean above that you don't need to "think". Of course you need to think.

The Bible warns us to always BE ALERT! SO STAND YOUR GUARD>

AND WATCH OUT FOR EACH OTHER IN LOVE!
