speaking of minjas...

once upon a time there was a small, happy and white ninja with various weapons. he loved hiding in the light, or snow, or on toilet paper, and killed many an enemy due to his supreme hiding tactics, because everyone expects people hiding in the shadows, but not in the light.
one day the small, happy, and white ninja was out killing a couple enemies, and unfortunately, he was run over by a van, because he was too "in the moment" to notice kara danyluk's spaceship with wheels coming at him. he was violently tossed onto the grass by a tree, and was as good as dead.
a small while later, wednesday night care group was going on. whilst caroline's small group was coming back to the church from the house across the street, the girls chatted a bit along the way, and were enjoying the scenery. alayna was casually stretching her hamstrings when she noticed something in the grass. as she looked closer, she noticed that it was a small brown ninja, who was almost dead, and had no right foot. she picked up the fallen minja with excitement, and brought him into the church to wash him off, because he was covered in dirt.
soon, the small brown ninja was a small, happy and white ninja again, so she nicknamed him S.H.A.W.N. and gave him the job of answering questions that the hillsdale youth might have (as suggested by kara, who felt bad that she had run him over, and figured that since he wasn't as good as a fighter now that he had no right foot, he could still be useful in society).
so if you have any questions, go ahead and ask S.H.A.W.N. and he will choose one lucky question to answer every week or so, depending on how he's feeling.
the end.

A Really Short Ninja Story.

One time, me and a ninja friend of mine were killing a whole bunch of pirates, and this one pirate just couldn't even believe what was happening. So after he said "yarr" about fifty million times, he started to say "blow me down," but I cut his head off before he said "down." Both of us Ninjas thought about it for a minute, and then we just broke out in hysterics. Later we told all our ninja friends about it. We all had a good laugh at that one. Stupid pirate.

Isaiah 58:11

The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

I thought this verse kind of went along with what Dallas was talking about in Sunday School today.

He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

The vastness of the Heavens

I don't know where this was exactly but one of my family members took it:

This was taken from the front step of our house:

This was taken on our way home from the East end tonight:

It was sweet! That gray thing swirling up is cloud or something because it definetly wasn't smoke.

the weather is nice . . .

So here are some pictures from the weekend fishing trip since I know some of you wanted to see them. We had tons of fun.

Here is the fish that I caught on my second cast of the trip. It was also the biggest of the weekend. 31 inches. Except when I held this one, I got my fingers caught in the gills and it cut my fingers. Very painful.

This is Kiersten's baby fish. No, she didn't eat it. Way to small for here liking. It was pretty much the smallest fish of the trip.

Here we all are enjoying the fire on friday evening.

Oh Andrew. He likes the imatation thing. Here he is taking the hook out of the fish. At one point Kiersten and I just threw our lines in the water and caught a fish, so my dad and Andrew just took off all the fish for us instead of fishing.

Isn't the sky amazing? We couldn't resist the perfect opportunity for taking a few pictures.

It was all Andrew's idea for a thumb war. It is a different kind of picture, but still cool.

It is like I said before. He likes the imatating thing. But I won't name any names.

In total, we caught over 200 fish. It was good times.
