Thank You

Dear Youth Group,

I just want to thank all of you who came to the Just Ambassadors show and supported us. Thanks so much, it's such a blessing to have so many of you awesome people there for me/us. For those who couldn't come do not worry, there's always other times. But yes thank you guys so much!
I apologize for the other bands that played tonight. I know they were all non-christian and they didn't have very good lyrics. Im sorry that you guys had to listen to that garbage. But I do appreciate that you guys took your money and your time to show us that you care. What a blessing you are. I definately felt some major perscution when I had informed the crowd that we are christians and that we play music to glorify God. I heard quite a few hecklers who did not like the fact that I willingly told them what I believe in. But ya' know what, I love it. Although it hurts sometimes, being honest about my faith and about Jesus is always the right thing to do. Its very important to not hide your faith. I like when paul says:

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the
power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

Romans 1:16

It was so fitting that right before people we're making those comments I had just been singing: "Though all the world may hate us" .....Well anyways, thanks again everyone. God bless you guys, have a great week. I love you all!!

We're Christians.... now what?

Lately i've found that there is a lot of people who say they are Christians but they don't have the effort to live a life surrendered to him. they believe all the stuff about God but they don't show it by their actions. I've seen people like this at school, work, church and even some of my closest friends. Quite plainly; I am an amateur at dealing with people in this boat. When I became a Christian it was a descision that I made for myself. I grew up in a non-christian home having no christian influence from my family. I committed my life to Jesus because I knew that he is truth and that I can't live without him. I had lived over 14 years of my life without him, and really when I think about it I hadn't lived at all. When I made my descision to follow God, I became alive! I was definately living a life that was heading downhill when God brought me to himself. Since becoming a Christian I have tried my hardest to live a life worthy of the name. It's been hard, but living for God is all that I live for. The strength of the holy spirit is the thing that keeps me from giving up. When I see people straying away from God it hurts me so much inside. Sometimes I just want to scream into a megaphone "Our God is so Good! Nothing can ever compare to the beauty of following him!"
If you didn't hear anything I said here this: Whatever you are going through that is holding you back from a deep relationship with God is worthless. Whether you feel like you got yourself into a rut right now, or if you have never felt the victory that God gives before I challenge you to act upon the knowledge that God has forgiven you and that he wants you to make the right choice in following him at all costs. No one is perfect, But when you are living by the spirit and living for God with all your heart you will find peace. God loves all of you sooo much! More than you'll ever know. Let's show him that we love him. Let's obey his commands for that is showing him that we love him! C'mon group lets get that fire back and lets show the world that we have been changed and renewed. God bless you all.

Where is that Fire?

Dear Youth Group,

We have such an amazing God who has been working in all of our lives. He has made a way for us to be with him and escape hell. He has loved us despite any sinful past. And he has blessed us with such a wonderful church and such wonderful people. God is beautiful in both his grace and his creation. He created all of us and he loves each and everyone of you, for you are his greatest masterpiece. Please don't take that type of stuff lightly just because you've heard it your whole life. Knowing that you are more than just a speck on this planet should light a fire in your hearts to live a life worthy of to what you've been called. Never be okay with mediocracy! Always strive to be more like Jesus.

But if anyone obeys his word, God's love is
truly made complete in him. This is how we
know we are in him: Whoever claims to live
in him must walk as Jesus did.

1 John 2: 5,6

We must strive to put to death the sin in our lives. Not because we want to be perfect but because we want to be in a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ! Sin seperates us from God. It seperates us from the most beautiful thing of this world. But there is even more: We are called to be ambassadors of God's truth. How can we do that if we do the same things that the world does. We got to be set apart for what we believe, We are God's light in this world. What kind of light are you shining?
I'm not typing this from a place of perfection, I have struggles too. But we should never be content with where we are at. Press on towards Godliness and strong character. And please hear this: You can do so much for this world when you are living in Christ. Have a good week guys and gals. Live this life with Love and with strength that only Jesus can provide.
