Meditation for This Morning
C. H. Spurgeon
"So foolish was I, and ignorant; I was as a beast before Thee." --Psalm 73:22
Remember this is the confession of the man after God's own heart; and in telling us his inner life, he writes, "So foolish was I, and ignorant." The word "foolish," here, means more than it signifies in ordinary language. David, in a former verse of the Psalm, writes, "I was envious at the foolish when I saw the prosperity of the wicked," which shows that the folly he intended had sin in it. He puts himself down as being thus "foolish," and adds a word which is to give intensity to it; "so foolish was I." How foolish he could not tell. It was a sinful folly, a folly which was not to be excused by frailty, but to be condemned because of its perverseness and wilful ignorance, for he had been envious of the present prosperity of the ungodly, forgetful of the dreadful end awaiting all such. And are we better than David that we should call ourselves wise! Do we profess that we have attained perfection, or to have been so chastened that the rod has taken all our wilfulness out of us? Ah, this were pride indeed! If David was foolish, how foolish should we be in our own esteem if we could but see ourselves! Look back, believer: think of your doubting God when He has been so faithful to you--think of your foolish outcry of "Not so, my Father," when He crossed His hands in affliction to give you the larger blessing; think of the many times when you have read His providences in the dark, misinterpreted His dispensations, and groaned out, "All these things are against me," when they are all working together for your good! Think how often you have chosen sin because of its pleasure, when indeed, that pleasure was a root of bitterness to you! Surely if we know our own heart we must plead guilty to the indictment of a sinful folly; and conscious of this "foolishness," we must make David's consequent resolve our own--"Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel."

How SEMP Pertains to Mustangs
I really want to tell you about SEMP, but I can't right now because I'm really tired and need to sleep/pack/do stuff. I wish I could multi-task all that, but I can't really. So yeah, I'll be seeing you soon, I hopest I doest anywaysest. Because we're going to Cypress Hills again for our vacation/holiday tomorrow for a week. But yeah, I definitely need to contribute something soon to this blog. Okay, fine, one story. Once, when we were driving through Arizona, I saw this sign that read "Mustangs Xing" so I'm all excited, because I'm a horse nerd, and I tell Mom to take a picture of one for me, because it was dusk and hard to take out of tinted windows (I really don't like tinted windows, but that's another story.) So yeah, we passed a few, then she was like "Got it!" so I was all excited to see this picture of a mustang, so I look, and it was a cow. My mom mistook a cow for a Mustang. I was so devastated that I started laughing, because it was funny. Lots of you have heard that story before, but I really liked telling it again. And I never knew there were so many "Mustangs" in Saskatchewan.
But yeah, SEMP was indescribably refreshing and really a great experience, and it took me a lot deeper with God---not just a bunch of happy emotions, but a real sense of who God is. It was really neat, and I'm glad He made me come. I definitely recommend it to others, even if you don't feel strong enough in your faith to share it with others---God takes care of that part for you. So, that's a really brief summary, but I hope it gave you a little sense of what it was like!

So I have mono. Yeah. Cool stuff. asldfkjalskdfj
Also, call me when stuff happens. I do realize that the past like.... 4 times you people have called I have been busy, but that does not mean that I don't want to hang out, it just means I'm busy. I miss you people.
Also, never EVER share slurpees. For real. That's how I got mono.
Honestly. I was being nice. Sharing a slurpee. He (a friend of mine named brennan) did not have to share anything back, but he shared his disease. alskdfjaslkdgjasgas
I kind of like doing that these days. asdfasadha

SUMMER STUFF
Me and Andrew just got back yesterday from our trip to the states/canada/states again. (we went to the states and then back into canada when we saw Niagra Falls and then back down south once we saw it.(which Andrew thinks only takes about a second to actually SEE, but it really took about two hours for pictures and walking)
Anyway, just wondering about everyone else's summer. It seems as though everyone is gone to SEMP and camp and wherever else in the world. (COMMENT ON THIS)
STORY: when my family was at my cousins house in Indiana, a few of us older cousins started to play hot potato- with our two year old cousin- Davey. It was really cute and he loved it.
Anyway, if anyone wants to hang out, give me a ring-a-ling on the teli.

hockey game
so tonight everyone is invited to my house around 7:30 to use my pool, as today will be hot, and it's basically my last free day before SEMP (excitement to the max!). so it'll probably just be some swimming action, maybe a movie, depending on several factors, that will be kept secret until further notice. so yeah, 163 McKee at 7:30, be there or be square, and phone peeps to make sure they know, as i don't know if i'll be home much today, because i'm expecting to be abducted by aliens for the afternoon, or being attacked by gremlins...whoever visits first...

Saint Helens, depending on the weather...and whether it starts to blow up or not, although that would make for some great pictures... if we survive. We've been in the Ocean too! ya, we've had an awesome time so far.
can't wait to see you guys again!
for all you non-SEMP people, please pray for everyone that is going, that would be greatly appreciated. thanx!
